DAY 1 Arrive Paro
Bhutan

During a clear-weather flight, you can enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Paro, our representative will greet you and take you to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Rinpung Dzong, a 15th-century fortress that serves as the valley’s administrative center. From the Dzong, walk across a traditional wooden bridge to the road, then continue to Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred shrines. In the evening, you can take a stroll around Paro town.

DAY 2 Paro to Haa
Takin Reserve

Today, drive to Haa Valley via Chelela Pass (3,810m), adorned with colorful Buddhist prayer flags and offering spectacular views of Mount Jumolhari and surrounding peaks, along with breathtaking vistas of the valleys below. The descent from the pass takes you through forests of blue pine, fir, and oak. In the afternoon, visit the local villages, explore their homes, and meet the families to experience village life firsthand.

DAY 3 Haa to Thimphu
Punakha

Drive to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan, passing through scenic villages and pine forests. The journey is enjoyable, with several optional stops along the way. After passing Dobji Dzong, the road descends and merges with the main road at Chhuzom, where you can see local farmers selling vegetables, apples, and dried cheese by the roadside. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk around Thimphu city.

DAY 4 Thimphu to Punakha
Punakha Valley

Enjoy a scenic drive to Punakha, stopping at Dochula Pass (3,150m), where clear weather offers stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Metshina Village, take a 20-minute walk through rice fields to visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Divine Madman’s temple, famous as a temple of fertility. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Punakha. On arrival, explore Punakha Dzong, celebrated as one of Bhutan’s most beautiful dzongs.

DAY 5 Punakha and Wangdue
Punakha Valley

Drive up the hillside to visit Talo Village and Nobgang Village, the residence of the Queen Mothers. These villages, spread across the slopes, are known for their cleanliness and well-kept surroundings. You will have the chance to visit local homes, enjoy a cup of tea, and experience everyday village life. Later, descend to the valley and continue to Wangdue to see Rinchengang Village, famous for its tightly clustered houses. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6 Punakha to Paro
Punakha Valley

Return to Paro, crossing Dochula Pass and enjoying panoramic views of the Himalayas. Pause in Thimphu for lunch before continuing the drive to Paro. Upon arrival, visit the local archery ground to observe Bhutanese archery in action.

DAY 7 Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
Punakha Valley

Set out on an invigorating hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, Bhutan’s most iconic pilgrimage site, perched on a cliff at 3,180m. Legend says that Guru Rimpoche, the 8th-century spiritual master, flew here on the back of a tigress to meditate. Enjoy lunch at the Cafeteria Restaurant located midway up the mountain. After exploring the monastery, hike back down to Paro.

DAY 8 Departure
Punakha Valley

In the morning, transfer to the airport for your departure, where our representative will see you off and bid you farewell.
