Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Rinpung Dzong by crossing the traditional wooden bridge, followed by a visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely walk through Paro town.
Visit Ta Dzong National Museum and explore its fascinating collection of art and artifacts. Then hike through a forested trail to Zuri Dzong, offering beautiful views of Paro Valley. After lunch, drive to Thimphu and enjoy a free evening to explore the city.
Drive north of Thimphu and hike to Tango Monastery, a renowned center for monastic studies. Continue with a short hike to Cheri Monastery. In the afternoon, visit National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma, and Tashichho Dzong.
Drive to Dochula Pass (3,100 m) with panoramic Himalayan views and the famous 108 chortens. From here, hike through rhododendron forests to Lungchuzekha Goemba. After lunch, continue the scenic drive to Punakha Valley.
Today hike to Paro Taktsang, Bhutan’s most iconic monastery perched dramatically on a cliff. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche meditated here after flying on a tigress. Enjoy lunch at the cafeteria and return to Paro.
After breakfast, drive to the airport for your departure. Your guide will bid you farewell.
