DAY 2 HIKE TO TIGERS NEST
Takin Reserve

After breakfast, we begin the hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), one of the most iconic and awe-inspiring landmarks in Bhutan. Dramatically perched on a sheer cliff about 900 meters above the Paro Valley, Taktsang is a sacred site where Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated in the 8th century. The round-trip hike to the monastery typically takes 4 to 6 hours, depending on your fitness level, and rewards you with breathtaking views of pine forests, prayer flags, and the valley below.

On the way back, we visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most revered temples in Bhutan, dating back to the 7th century. Built by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo, this serene and spiritually significant temple is known for its ancient murals, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful orange trees in the courtyard. The visit offers a perfect and tranquil conclusion to a memorable day in Paro.
